Description

Installation

Remove the screws that secure the top to the bottom of the Dry Toilet and remove the top (the 10″ connecting chute will come with it). Using the bottom as a template, scribe a circle on the floor using the hole for the chute inside the bottom as a guide. Using a jig saw, cut a hole slightly larger than the circle you scribed on the floor. Slide the bottom over the hole and then drill 5 or six holes through the bottom and into the floor and fasten with stainless steel screws/fasteners and washers. Replace the top and chute and connect the chute to the receiving composting reactor. The exhaust on all composting systems continuously draws air down the Dry Toilet to prevent odors in the bathroom. However, if the Dry Toilet is too high above the composter for air to be drawn down, the Dry Toilet should be separately exhausted. To do this, a 4″ exhaust pipe can be installed at the rear left or rear right of the toilet using a Uniseal, and, if necessary, an in-line blower can be fitted in a section of 4″ vent pipe to enhance airflow.

All Dry Toilets include a bowl liner that fits beneath the seat and which can be removed for cleaning as required.
